Jennings Chiropractic Neurology Clinic was voted Best of Citrus Heights 2011 and 2012 by US Chamber Association, and Best Chiropractic Neurologist Sacramento 2013.
Dr. Jennings is a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist in Sacramento area. Chiropractors attend 4 years of Chiropractic College. Dr. Jennings completed an additional 3 year residency in Neurology to obtain his Board Certification. Our treatment and evaluation looks at the Function of the Brain and nervous system and care is a non drug, non surgical approach. Treatment approach incorporates spine and extremity manipulation of joints, light and sound therapy, Brain based exercises to "Re-wire" brain pathways, and occupational and physical therapy.
Dr. Jennings still handles the "average" types of cases seen by regular Chiropractors.
Unlike typical chiropractors, Dr. Jennings has advanced training in Vertigo, dizziness and balance disorders,movement disorders such as Parkinson's and dystonia, and Whiplash and Brain trauma.
Many people have sprained muscles over the years from various activities. Dr. Jennings does a deep tissue myofascial release technique that removes adhesions and frees up mobility. Kinesiology tape is a special type of tape that patients wear for 3-5 days that helps in the healing process or in athletic events. It is used for torn ligament and tendons, sprained muscles and more.
Unlike standard medical neurologists, a Functional Neurologist looks at the integration of input into the brain, how the brain process the signals and what the outcome effect is. Frequently there is a mismatch of sensory signals known as a Functional Disconnection. We utilize a variety of tools to "reset" the timing of the nervous system by incorporating occupational therapy, physical therapy, light and sound therapy, diet, and spinal and extremity manipulations of joints.
Dr. Jennings is a Qualified Medical Evaluator for California doing Medical-Legal consulting and evaluations for Worker Compensation disputes with 10 satellite locations. The satellite offices are located in Yuba City, Marysville, Roseville, Folsom, Stockton, Fairfield, Elk Grove, Cameron Park, and 2 in Sacramento. He is Board Certified with the American Academy of Pain Management. Voted one of top 3 sports doctor in Washington DC Metro area 1995. Recognized in several local Virginia courts and Federal court as expert.
